Rockbridge County Destinations among 2018 “Best of the Mountains”
LEXINGTON, VA (April 12, 2018) – Two Rockbridge County destinations have been voted among the top five in their respective categories in a recent Blue Ridge Country reader poll. Natural Bridge State Park ranked third place for “Historic Attraction worth a Visit,” while Pink Cadillac Diner came in second in the “Best Diner” category. The rankings are decided by readers of Blue Ridge Country and presented as part of the magazine’s 30th Anniversary Celebration “Best of the Mountains” May/June issue.
Launched in 1988, Blue Ridge Country is the longest-running travel publication in the region. The magazine’s reader polls are conducted every five years to allow readers to choose their favorite places in the Southern Appalachians.
“We’re pleased to see our iconic historic treasure, Natural Bridge State Park, receive so much love from Blue Ridge Country readers,” said Patty Williams, Lexington & Rockbridge Area Tourism Director of Marketing. “Seeing Pink Cadillac Diner receive the recognition it deserves as one of the area’s most popular diners is exciting. I encourage these Rockbridge area landmarks to celebrate their rankings and to share the good news with visitors and local residents."
The May/June issue of Blue Ridge Country containing the “Best of the Mountains” 2018 winner list will be available at newsstands in the Mid-Atlantic and Southeast by April 23, 2018.
