Event Description
Join Historic Lexington Foundation for its Preservation Month, May 25 event. The program will be held at Washington and Lee University. The research and restoration of foundation of the c. 1793 Steward's House will be presented in a lecture by the University's research archaeologist, Don Gaylord, Washington & Lee's University’s Research Archaeologist and Instructor of Anthropology.
Following will be a walk to the Liberty Hall Plantation ruins and the recently restored foundation of the Steward’s House. The restoration work began last year and was recently completed. There is no admission charge for this program.
The lecture will be at the covered pavilion off W. Denny Circle, off 60 W. at 10am. There will be someone directing traffic for on-site parking. Comfortable walking shoes are recommended.
