The 215ft-high Natural Bridge appears early in the Cedar Creek hike, and you'll find benches for sitting and appreciating its beauty. Educational presentations are given here numerous times per day. Further down the trail, hikers will come to the Salt Peter Mine, pass the Lost River, and ends at the gorgeous Lace Falls. This trail is about 1 mile and is best enjoyed at your leisure.

If you are up for more of a challenge, the Blue Ridge Trail is a little more work with slight inclines. This path begins about 1 mile north of the park and winds through creeks and wetlands. Play the 18-basket Thistle Ridge Disc Golf course along this trail. This hike is about 3 miles with beautiful views of the Blue Ridge and Allegheny Mountains. A self-pay kiosk is located in parking lot with picnic tables nearby.

A third option is the Buck Hill Trail. The trail head is in the woods at the Caverns at Natural Bridge. Evidence of logging and how forest habitats regenerate are noticeable as you hike this two-mile trail. Parking and picnic tables avilable.

Adjacent to the Children's Discover Area, the .6-mile Skyline Trail is a Kids in Park TRACKP Trail good for wildlife watching, and you’ll want to look for bluebirds near the new nest boxes along the trail. Skyline Trail leads to Jefferson Point, the designated International Dark Sky location for self-guided and ranger-led stargazing events.

All four hikes offer great views and a glimpse into the rich history of the land.

From the Lexington Visitor Center, drive east on Washington Street to a left at the stoplight onto East Nelson Street (US-60). Continue .2 mile to a right onto Lee Highway (US-11 S Bypass). Drive .9 mile to a left at the stoplight, continuing south on Lee Highway southbound. Stay on Lee Highway for 12 miles and Natural Bridge State Park entrance will be just ahead of you on the left with the Natural Bridge Historic Hotel & Conference Center on your right.

• The entrance fee is $9 per person 13 years and older and $6 per person ages 6-12 years.
• Self-pay kiosks are located at Blue Ridge Trail and Skyline Trail for access without purchasing admission at the park's visitor center.
• The hikes can be wet and buggy so be sure to bring insect repellent.

• Adjacent to the park is Natural Bridge Historic Hotel and Conference Center, where you can have dinner at Red Fox Tavern or the Colonial Dining Room. Extend your visit with an overnight at the hotel.
• Explore the deepest caverns on the East Coast when you check out the Caverns at Natural Bridge, just a short drive north of the park.
